Family protection

Help your parents and relatives spot scams without reading their messages.

Private by default

Being in a family group never lets anyone see your checks. You choose, check by check, what to share.

What a group can do

  • Ask “Is this really you?”: when a message claims to be from a family member, send a verification request to the right person. They record how they checked, for example by calling your saved number.
  • Share a check with the group when you want a second opinion. Shared checks show the warning signs and advice, not your whole message history.
  • Get a heads-up when someone receives something high-risk. Alerts only happen if that person turns them on, and they never include the message itself unless it was shared.
  • Invite people with a one-time link you send on WhatsApp or SMS. Links expire after 7 days.

Good family habits

  • Agree on a family code word for real emergencies.
  • Never send money because of a new number. Call the old number first.
  • Banks, police and courts don’t ask for money, OTPs or screen sharing over a call.
